The island
The island of Lefkada (or Lefkas) is connected to continental Greece by a bridge. In the summer, there are many seasonal flights to Preveza (PVK or Aktio) airport. The island of Lefkada is famous for its impressive beaches, with the white sand and turquoise waters which resemble the Caribbean.
The coastline is 116 km long and forms oblong capes and bays.
Some of the most well-known beaches are :
Agiofili, Amousso, Poros, Afteli, Porto Katsiki, Gialos beach, Megali Petra, Kathisma, Pefkoulia, Passa beach.

The distance to Aktio airport is 58 Km and to Lefkada town 38km.
